Kaduna State Government has commenced discussions with the Nigeria Airport Authority and Security Agencies for Airlift of intending Muslim Pilgrims from the Kaduna International Airport contrary to speculations that the Airlift will take place elsewhere.
The State Commissioner, Internal Security and Home Affairs Mr. Samuel Aruwan stated this at an event organized by the Muslims Student Society of Nigeria MSSN in Kaduna in Honour of the Executive Secretary of the state Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Mallam Yusuf Arrigasiyyu.
Mr Samuel Aruwan said the government was mindful of the challenges of airlifting the pilgrims outside the state, stressing that adequate security will be stationed at critical spots to ensure that the airlift from Kaduna Airport is successful.
In a speech, Executive Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Dr Yusuf Yakubu Alrigasiyyu, who appealed for prayers also, appreciated Governor Nasiru Elrufai for giving him the opportunity to serve in that capacity.
According to Dr Arrigasiyyu, a total of Two Thousand Four Hundred and Ninety-one seats have been allocated to Kaduna State Pilgrims and were given based on The first come first serve principle.
Present at the event were representatives of JNI, JIBWIS, FOMWAN, Women in Da’awa, Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, Christian Association of Nigeria CAN and several other Muslim organizations who were allowed to make remarks at the event.
