Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has received his certificate of return as the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

At the ceremony in Abuja, the national chairman of the party, Dr Iyorchia Ayu urged all PDP members to close ranks and work for the election of Alhaji Atiku as the next president of the country.

He commended all those who made a rancour free primary election possible.

In his remark, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was full of gratitude to everyone who worked for his victory and urged all PDP members across the country to hit the ground running with a campaign to oust the APC.

Present at the occasion were some of the aspirants who lost the presidential ticket to Alhaji Atiku including former Senate president Bukola Saraki, Alhaji Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, Mrs Tari Oba Olivar and Mr Sam Ohuabunwa.

Others party leaders who attended the ceremony included Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, Chief Tom Ikimi, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, Dr Babangida Aliyu, and Biodun Olujimi, Ahmed Makarfi, the PDP Minority Leader in the House of Representatives Mr Ndudi Elumelu and former Adamawa state Governor, Boni Haruna.
