Nigerian Airforce has commissioned officers and recruits into the service for effective service delivery.

In a message to the combined passing out parade of branch commission and basic training military course, Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Salihu Magashi (rtd), said this landmark occasion was another testimony to the commitment of the force to operate a professional service, properly structured, appropriately manned and adequately trained to provide security for Nigeria.

Represented by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, the Minister reminded the graduands of the need to uphold the principles of the military profession, especially at this time, when the country was battling insecurity on several fronts.

Major General Bashir Magashi (rtd) charged the graduands to ensure the safety of Nigerians by being committed and patriotic in the discharge of their duties.

The Minister also enjoined the graduands and personnel to ensure optimal utilisation of resources while subordinating their interests to the service and the nation.

A total of One Thousand, Five hundred and Ninety-eight officers and recruits passed out after undergoing eight weeks and six months training respectively.
