Ramadan: 5000 Orphans Receive Food Items, Cash, Clothes In Zamfara

Former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has distributed food items, cash and clothing materials worth over one hundred and sixty nine million naira to five thousand Orphans in the State.

Secretary of the committee for the distribution of Yari’s Ramadan and Sallah welfare to Orphans, Liman Sanusi Dan Alhaji Sambo who revealed this during the flag-off said, the Orphans were drawn from 17 Emirates of the state.

According to him, each of the Orphans would receive 5 yards of Shadda for Male, Atamfa for female, six measure each of millet and maize as well as 5 measure rice, two and a half measure of sugar and two thousand Naira cash for sowing.

In his remarks, the former Governor who was represented by the former commissioner ministry for Religions affairs, Abdullahi Maharazu Talatar Mafara explained that, the gesture was to support the Orphans to celebrate Sallah joyfully.

On his part, Chairman Yari Movement, Zamfara State Lawal M. Liman who was represented by Engr Babangida Abdullahi expressed appreciation to former Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar for the welfare to Orphans and challenge other dignitaries to emulate him.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Radio Nigeria were seen jubilating and prayed for him to excel.
