Over 1,350 less privilege benefited from the Ramadan gesture distributed by member representing Hadejia constituency Jigawa state house of assembly Barrister Abubakar Jallo.
The beneficiaries included 300 orphanage households and 40 disabled who were given food Items aimed at assisting them to feed their family in this holy month.
Speaking at the occasion held at ancient city of Hadejia, Alhaji Abubakar Jallo said, the gesture was aimed at assisting the beneficiaries to feed their family in this holy month of Ramadan.
According to him, over 320 wards party executives benefited with similar gesture, while 452 women and youth as well as 200 party members received the cash gifts from 5,000 to 30,000 naira each.
Jallo commended Governor Badaru Abubakar for his approval and executing all the projects that he is proud to have brought to the constituency.
He described the Governor as a mentor and a reliable leader whose leadership style is worth emulation any where in the world.
He urged the beneficiaries to use the period of the Ramadan to pray for the nation’s unity, peace, progress and development.
Speaking on behalf of the orphanage households, Hajiya Aisha Garba expressed their appreciation to the lawmaker and urged him not relent his effort in assisting the humanity.
