Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority has built an operational strategy to ensure no one is left behind in health care in the State.

Director General of KADCHMA, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan stated this during a two day media roundtable founded by Save the Children Nigeria held in Zaria.

He explained that one of KADCHMA’s responsibilities is to meet up with the Universal healthcare coverage for all people in Kaduna state.

He called on the participants to engage meaningfully during the media roundtable and to come out with workable relationship with KADCHMA to help deliver it’s mandate.

The Director General Alhaji Abubakar Hassan said definitely Kaduna State had gone far in the area of health that other states need to emulate.

He emphasized that media is key to the success of KADCHMA because of its role in information dissemination to the general public.

The Chairman KADCHMA Communication Committee, Mallam Ibrahim Muhammad said the main objective of the media roundtable was to educate journalists on operational services of KADCHMA in Kaduna State.

The Advocacy and Campaigns Assistant of Save the Children Nigeria in Kaduna, Olukotun Amabel said the targets was to protect the rights of the children particularly health and education.

The representative of Nigeria Union of Journalists Kaduna State Council, the Treasurer Comrade Nicholas Dekera said the union would continue to partner KADCHMA to ensure reduction in maternal maternity in the state.

He said people in the rural areas need to be aware of the services of KADCHMA through the media in order for them to benefit from the scheme.

State Chairman State Media Working Group, Mr. Philip Yate announced that the group had journalists from broadcast, print and the online as members.

He emphasized the need for strong partnership between KADCHMA and the media particularly on sensitization and awareness for the development of sector.
