Government at all levels have been urged to create cattle routes to put permanent solution to farmers-herders crisis in the country.

The Sarkin Fulani of Kwara state, Alhaji Usman Adamu made the call while speaking with Journalists in Ilorin.

He said the creation of cattle routes would enable herder move freely from one location to another without grazing on farm produce.

Alhaji Usman appealed to state governors to shun the idea of enacting laws against open grazing to encourage animal fatling.

According to him, the Anti open grazing laws would send away herders and make red meat out of reach of common man.

The Sarkin Fulani urged farmers and herders to adopt dialogue in resolving disputes in the interest of peace and development in the country.

In his remark, the Chairman of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) Kwara state Chapter, Umar Mahmoud -Aboki advised farmers to constantly visit their farm to prevent intruders from eating up their crops.
