All Progressives Congress APC, Taraba State chapter has sworn in the remaining thirty-five Executive Members apart from the state Chairman of the party, Barrister Ibrahim Tukur El-sudi who was inaugurated since.

The event took place at the State Secretariat of the party along Hamman ruwa way in Jalingo with Barrister Isa Buba who administered the Oath of office to the 35 Excos.

Speaking after the swearing-in, the state Chairman of APC, Barr. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi said in the whole of Taraba there was no Executive at the State level except him as Chairman because of the current court judgment that nullified the state Exco’s election.

He explained that the swearing-in ceremony became imperative because the legal department of the party had advised that the remaining Excos be sworn in as enshrined in the party’s constitution since they already filed an appeal seeking for the Court of appeal to nullify the judgment passed by Justice Simon Amobeda of the Federal High sitting in Jalingo.

“This has not indicated that the room for reconciliation has been closed, no, we will continue with the reconciliation talks, and also court case will continue but if our colleagues withdrew the case from the court, fine, but even the court of appeal says that if you file an appeal seeking for nullifying a judgment, so, it is temporary, that was the reason we carried out the swearing-in ceremony for the main time;

“There is no state in the whole of Nigeria that the Exco of the party has not been sworn in, therefore, we have to also do same as enshrined in the constitution of the party, but reconciliation continues because we need everyone for the success of the party, so, nobody should feel overpowered, mucked, or disgraced,” El-Sudi stressed.

However, El-Sudi urged Exco members to put their interests aside and work as a team for the party to take over governance of the state come 2023, noting that every aspirant is welcome as their doors are opened but emphasized that Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha is the first person that came to the party secretariat to carry out a program.

“APC is for any person that has an intention to contest, nobody should think of these people are the boys of Bwacha, or DSK, or Saleh Mamman, or Sani Abubakar Danladi, or Yusuf A. Yusuf, no, everybody is welcomed, and anybody that wants to do program here is to benefit APC, so, he is welcome.” Barr. El-sudi emphasized.

Meanwhile, an aspirant in the party and a serving Senator representing Taraba South at the National Assembly, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has donated 16 vehicles to the sixteen local government branches of the party.

Presenting the vehicles, Bwacha who was represented by the Director-General of his Campaign Organization, Hon. Iliyasu Kirim said the vehicles were provided to enable the party officials to move from point to point, adding that it is just the first step as more are coming, adding that even the party Secretariat that was recently donated by the Minister will receive a boost because the party is a big one and needs a bigger place among many other things.

On his part, the former Taraba State Deputy Governor, Hon. Ahmadu Uba Maigari commended Sen. Bwacha for the donation, and described him as one of the leading lights of the party, adding the gesture signified that it is not how long you have been a member of the APC but how well you are a member of the APC is very important.
