Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state has received hundreds members of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Kwankwasiyya movement at the All Progressives Congress APC headquarters in Dutse, the state capital.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the members of the Kwankwasiyya said they decamped to the APC because of the leadership qualities exhibited by Badaru Abubakar’s administration since 2015.

In a speech, Shehu Garu who was the former leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement in Jigawa state said, their intention to leave the People’s Democratic Party PDP to the All Progressives Congress was necessary to move the state and the country forward.

Also during the occasion, the Jigawa state Governor Badaru Abubakar has inaugurated the elected executives of the All Progressives Congress APC.

He urged the party members to work towards maintaining the existing unity in the party for success in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

Some of the dignitaries that attended the ceremony include the State Deputy Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, Chairman Senate Committee on Information, Senator Danladi Sankara, members of the state house assembly among others.
