The Commander of the 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army Kano Brigadier General Sinyinah Nicodemus says the Brigade was working assiduously in preventing the influx of terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements within the area of responsibility of the Brigade.

General Sinyinah Nicodemus Stated this during the West African Social Activities (WASA) for the year 2021 held at Headquarters of the 3 Brigade in Kano.

He said the Annual event of WASA was an aged long event Organized by formations and Units of the Nigerian Army to Commemorate the end of a successful training cycle and to mark the beginning of a new training Year.

General Nicodemus noted that the WASA event creates an avenue for Officers, Soldiers, and members of their families as well as friends of the Barracks Community to interact in a relaxed atmosphere.

He maintained that the war against insurgency in the Northeast was progressively and Steadily been Won.

” in kano state, our troops have been actively involved in operation MESA, which is an internal security operation conducted by the Nigeria Army, and in kano, the operation MESA is nicknamed the joint task force, which was set up by the kano
state government and it has achieved great successes “

He added that in the year 2021 a lot of training and sporting activities were conducted by the brigade with the of improving the capacity of troops and their physical fitness.

In a remark, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Alhaji Kabiru Ado Lakwaya Appreciated the efforts of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the state for their tireless commitment to ensuring peace and harmony in kano state.

“Security is one of the Primary Concerns of this administration, we are working together with the Nigerian army and other security agencies in kano geared towards having a crime-free society”

During the ceremony, social activities such as Cultural display, Tug of war, and presentation of Awards to deserving soldiers were conducted.
