Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has urged University students to shun cybercrime and support the fight against corruption to enable it succeed.

Bawa made the call while delivering his keynote address entitled, “The EFCC And The Role of The Youths In Curbing Cybercrime” , at the 2020/2021orientation programme for fresh students held at the University of Ilorin in Kwara state.

Represented by the Head, of Public Affairs Department, Ilorin Zonal Command of the EFCC, Ayodele Babatunde, Bawa advised the new students to be discipline and strive for academic excellnce .

According to him, the woes bedeviling the country today could be tied to corruption.

Bawa decried the youth’s involvement in cybercrime ,adding that One critical group of stakeholders are the youths.

The EFCC boss, called on the youths to avoid the temptation of being lured into cybercrime or any other form of corruption .

Earlier in his address , the Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Sulyman Age Abdulkareem represented by the Dean, Student Affairs, Professor Lanre Ajibade, urged the students to be disciplined and dedicated to their studies
