Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme has disbursed over 9 point 4 billion naira to 2,146 retirees as pension and other benefits this year.
The Executive Secretary, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa in Dutse, that the entitlements comprised of retirement, terminal and monthly pension benefits.
He explained that, over 5 point 233 billion naira was monthly pension , while 4.169 billion naira as terminal benefits of the beneficiaries.
Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa said the beneficiaries include retirees of State, local government and local education authorities LEA.
He pointed out that, retirement, death and pension, eight percent pension contribution refunds and monthly pension entitlements was paid to 2,146 beneficiaries within the period under review.
According to him, the board is up to date in the payment of entitlements to retirees and those who died in active service.
The Executive Secretary said the board and the jigawa state government would continue to ensure better welfare for both retirees and those in active service.
