Some Micro Finance Banks in Nigeria may liquidate – Niger HOS

Out of the eight hundred and seventy six micro finance banks in Nigeria about five hundred and and twenty may not cope with the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN recapitalisation exercise.

Niger state Head Of Service Hajiya Salamatu Abubakar stated this while declaring opened Annual General Meeting of Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT Endwell Micro Finance Banks held in Minna.

Represented by the Director General Small Medium Enterprises and Micro Finance Agencies Engineer Umar Faruk Audi the Head Of Service applauded executive of NUT for their sacrifice towards achieving greater greater heights.

Hajiya Salamatu Abubakar expressed happiness that the NUT Endwell Micro Finance Bank in Niger state is not among those
that will be liquidated.

In an address Managing Director and Chief Executive NUT Endwell Alh Mohd Malam Kassim said that the bank can boast of roburst customer base of three thousand four hundred and eighty one as at December twenty nineteen with the figure on the increase on daily basis.

Alh Mohd Malam Kassim explained that they have recorded remerkeable achievement that have direct impact on the lives of an ordinary citizens as well as teachers through access to credit facilities to the tune of over two billion naira within the past eleven years of their operation.

Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers Niger state wing Comrade Comrade Akayago Adamu Mohammed appealed to Niger state govẹrnment to patronise them by paying teachers salary through the NUT Endwell bank.

Comrade Akayago Adamu Mohammed however expressed happiness that NUT Endwell Micro Finance Bank was adjudged as leading bank in Niger state interms of performance.

Niger state Commissioner of Investment Commerce and Industries Dr Mustapha Jibrin represented by a Director in his ministry Malam Mohd Musa Erena assured them of government resolve at providing an enabling environment for Small and Medium Enterprises to operate with ease.
