President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed grief over the gruesome murder of 45 farmers and injuring of many others following renewed hostilities in Lafia, Obi, and Awe Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State.

The President assured the people with all seriousness and sensitivity that his administration was doing its best to safeguard their security, noting that perpetrators of the heinous attacks will be identified and brought to justice.

He also expressed condolences to the government and people of the State, and expressed satisfaction with the immediate response of the State government to the incident.

Meanwhile, Governor Nasiru El-rufa’i of Kaduna State has called for massive recruitment of police and military personnel to adequately quel the lingering security threats across the country.

He told newsmen after his meeting with President Buhari in Abuja that the small number of security personnel had already been overstretched.

He noted that with adequate number of security personnel, a comprehensive operation could be carried out simultaneously in the trouble spots to crush the insurgents for good.
