Pinau town in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State was attacked on Sunday evening by gunmen, suspected to be bandits, according to reports.

An undetermined number of people were reportedly killed and many others were injured,

The incident occurred after the villagers had finished their weekly community market.

ASP Gabriel Ubah, a spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, confirmed the incident but stated that the Command had not yet received complete information about the attack.
