Conversion Plant

Federal Government says it will need about ₦6 billion for the procurement of kits to convert the first one million cars from petrol to gas.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr Timipre Sylva, said in Abuja, that the sum was also needed to facilitate the procurement of equipment that would provide gas pump stations across the country.

Sylva was speaking after leading Chief Executive Officers of the mid and downstream sectors of the industry into a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Sylva, President Buhari expressed concern over the situation, as steps are been taken to ameliorate its effect.
