Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a member of the Lagos state judicial panel on police brutality and the Lekki tollgate inquiry, has claimed that his life is in danger

Last Monday, the panel presented 309-page documents to the state’s governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a consolidated report on cases of police brutality and another on the Lekki shooting event, which was leaked in the media hours afterward.

According to the leaked report, the “death of unarmed demonstrators by the military on October 20, 2020, might be regarded as a massacre.”

In a statement on Monday titled ‘Nigerians Should Hold Government Accountable If Anything Happens to Me,’ Adegboruwa stated that he has been the target of several threats and attacks by “people alleged to be government agents.”

The study received varied reactions, with some praising it and others pointing out flaws.
