Zamfara State government has approved the reopening of 7 weekly markets in the state.

Commissioner for Information, Alh. Ibrahim Magaji Dosara who announced this in a statement said livestock markets would remain closed.

According to him, the reopened markets include; Nasarawar Burkullu, Talata Mafara, Gusau, Shinkafi, Kasuwar-Daji, Nasarawar Godel, and Danjibga markets.

Dosara warned that the state government prohibits people to carry weapons into the markets.

He added that a task force committee for the implementation of the order would ensure compliance and called on security agencies to take necessary action against violators.
