Speaker Zamfara State Assembly, RT Hon Nasiru Maazu Magarya

Zamfara State Assembly has suspended two from the House for three months pending the conclusion of investigations on the allegation of connection with banditry activities in the state.

This was contained in a statement to newsmen in Gusau by the Director General Press Affairs and Public Relations of the house , Mustapha jafaru Kaura

The two members of the House namely Yusuf Muhammad Anka representing Anka consituency and Ibrahim Tukur Bakura representing Bakura constituency are to appear before the House Committee on ethics and privileges for investigation.

These are part of the resolutions reached at the house plenary presided over the speaker of the House Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya under matters of urgent public importance.

The statement says the House also screened and confirmed 14 local government sole Administrators nominees sent by the executive arm of government that will man the affairs of the local government councils in the state.

Further more, a bill for a law to repeal the Sokoto state teachers service Board law cap 39A OF 1992 and re-entact Zamfara State Teachers Service Board for the control and management of teachers matters has scaled first reading.
