Kaduna State Government has announced suspension of Telecommunications services and also tighten up other measures to curtail insecurity

The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Mr. Samuel Aruwan announced this at a newsbriefing held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat Kaduna.

The commissioner stated that military and other security forces have been carrying out assaults on some identified locations, adding that necessary measures to assist the security agencies became imperative.

Mr. Samuel Aruwan stated that tricycles will now be allowed to operate only from 6am to 7pm and must remove all curtains.

He maintained that All vehicles used for commercial transport must be painted in yellow and black within 30 days while vehicles that are part of ride hiring services are to carry yellow and black stripes.

The commissioner also announced complete ban on the use of motorcycles for commercial or personal purposes, for three months in the first instance.


Mr. Samuel Aruwan who appealed for the understanding and cooperation of all residents emphasized that all other relevant security measures are still being enforced in the state.
