Nigerians have been advised to come out enmass and register at the ongoing INEC voters nationwide registration.
The National Chairman of a non-governmental organization, Northern Youth Alliance for Good Governance, Malam Mahmud Aminu made the call during a sensitization rally to enlighten the public about the importance of voters registration, organized in Kano.
He explained that, the Association had commenced sensitization of eligible voters to register as it is one of the best ways to ensure good governance.
Malam Mahmud pointed out that, most of the eligible voters lack the proper knowledge about the exercise while other are refusing to register due to lack of commitment by politicians whom they claimed have refused to fulfil their campaign promises.
In their separate remarks, Bukar Sadik from Borno state, Umar Ndagi from Niger and Tijjani Aminu from Yobe, maintained that members of Northern Youth Alliance for good governance had commenced online voters registration as well as enlightenment campaigns to towns and villages to ensure that northeners were not left behind.
They added that, the group would also engage in sensitization through various social media platforms regrading voters registration and all relevant issues of public importance.
The sensitization campaign witnessed large turn out of people within Kano metropolis who were educated on the need for ensuring good governance through voting the right people through cerdible and peaceful elections.
