Federal Government has approved activities to mark the nation’s 61st Independence Anniversary

Addressing newsmen at the National Press Centre Abuja, Representative of the Minister of Information and Culture and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Ifeoma Anyawutaku explained that the celebration would enable Nigerians to appreciate the contributions of patriots towards nation building.

Dr Anyawutaku said President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the following activities as follows:

Special Interdenominational Church Service on Sunday 26th September, 2021 at National Christian Centre, Abuja by 2:00PM.

Special Award Ceremony/ Discover Nigeria on Thursday 30th September, 2021 at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja by 6:00PM.

Anniversary Parade on Friday Ist October, 2021at the Eagles Square Abuja by 8:30AM.

Special Juma’at Service on Friday 1st October, 2021 at National Mosque, Abuja. 2:00PM.
