The Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria kano Chapter has Appealed to the National Assembly to expedite Action in ensuring that the police pension Act is reviewed.

The Chairman of the Association in Kano Yunusa Yahaya Madaki stated this while addressing Journalists, during a peaceful protest staged by the retired police Officers in Kano.

He said the purpose of the protest was to expressed their displeasure on the issue of their retirement benefits, Stressing that they needed their retired benefits to be paid to them in full.

” We want our Gratuities to be paid directly to us,we don’t want the pension Scheme we’ve been incorporated into,we are appealing to the members of the National Assembly to look into this issue and review the Police Pension Act”

“Our members are suffering, over 12million retired police are on this Struggle,some have died,while some of us have became paralysed due to the hardship of current live’

In a remark , one of the member of the group DSP Danyaro Sani Rtd pleaded to all stakeholders involved to come to their aid .

During the peaceful protest ,the retired police Officers offered Special prayers seeking for divine intervention on the issue.
