Governor Badaru Abubakar has commended the proprietor of a private University, established in Majiya, Taura local Government area of jigawa state.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Relations, Alhaji Habibu Nuhu Kila to Radio Nigeria in Dutse
The governor explained that the establishment of the University was capital intensive and long term venture into the education sector in the state and the country in general.
Badaru Abubakar therefore commended the patriotism of the proprietor for the commitment.
He said his administration would support the University to achieve its desired goals of promoting education in the state in particular and the nation at large.
Earlier, the chairman of the board of trustees of the university, The Emir of Kazaure. Alhaji Najib Hussaini Adamu, represented by a member of the board Dr. Ahmed Rufa’i Inuwa said, they were at the Government house to seek the government’s support for the smooth take-off of the academic programme.
