The Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu has invited the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to an emergency meeting following a threat by the union go on another strike.
A statement by the Director Press and Public Relations of the Federal Ministry of Education, Mr Ben. Bem Goong says Tuesday’s meeting is to avert any industrial action.
ASUU is threatening to down tool, over what it says is the government’s refusal to implement some agreements agreed upon with the union.
ASUU has just called off a nine-month-old strike in January this year
