The Zamfara State Police Command has debunked a rumour circulating on social media that bandits attacked a school in Maradun local government .
This was contained in a statement by the Command Public Relation officer, SP Muhammad Shehu in Gz
It happened that, Farmers/ Herders had a clash but no casualty was recorded except a minor skirmish which was brought under control by the police.
According to the statement, the case is under investigation by the Command’s State CID adding that any found wanting will be charged to court as soon as possible.
The Statement a combined team of policemen led by the DPO are currently on confidence building patrols to avoid escalation and called on members of the public are enjoined to discountenance the story and remain calm without any fear or apprehension.
