Cov/Sani Haruna, Zamfara

Governor, Bello Matawalle has received the Federal Government delegation on a visit to sympathize with Government and people of Zamfara State, over the abduction of female students of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Jangebe.

The delegation includes Aviation Minister, Senator Hadi Sirika, Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, Minister of Women Affairs Dr Paulin Talen and that of Disaster Management and Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Farouk.

The Team Leader of the delegation, Senator Hadi Sirika said President Muhammadu Buhari condoled with Government and people of the state over the recent abduction of the female students at Jangebe.

He also commended effort of the State Government towards rescue of the abductees.

Responding, Governor Bello Matawalle appealed to the President to mobilize more security personnel to the state to rescue the students.

The Governor also gave assurance to the Presidential Committee that, the abducted students would soon be secure and reunited with their parents as government had been working with security personnel and stakeholders for the past two days to ensure safe return of the abductees.
