Speaker of the Niger state House of Assembly Barrister Abdullahi Bawa Wuse has tested negative to Corona virus after conducting a repeat test on him.

The Speaker personally broke the news on a WhatsApp chat saying his repeat Covid 19 test turned negative.

Barrister Abdullahi Bawa Wuse has been on isolation receiving treatment for almost two weeks after a mass testing exercise was conducted at the House of Assembly complex.

The exercise which was conducted by officials of Covid 19 team from state ministry of Health has turned out that his sample tested positive at that time.

Radio Nigeria reported about two weeks ago that both the Clerk and Deputy Majority leader Abdullahi Kagara and Binta Mamman also tested positive to Corona virus.

While on isolation members of Niger state House of Assembly passed the twenty twenty one budget estimate at a rowdy session that saw the removal of Majority Leader and his Deputy.

Though that of Deputy Majority Leader Binta Mamman was reversed it might not be unconnected with her current status of being on isolation receiving Covid 19 treatment in Abuja.

Radio Nigeria however added that both the Clerk and Deputy Majority Leader are also expected back to the house soon.
