The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano command says it has arrested one notorious Drug Dealer known as Madam Caroline with cannabis Sativa weighing over 576 kilograms.

The NDLEA Commander in Kano Dr Ibrahim Abdul stated this while briefing journalists in Kano.

He said the woman was arrested along Zaria-Kano road while conveying the exhibit from Lagos in a container truck.

“This woman, a notorious drug dealer was convicted twice, and now she is going to be a third offender by the grace of God, and finally met her waterloo.

The commander explained the command also arrested one Bako, with 201 kilograms of Canabis Savita, also along Zaria-Kano road while heading to Kano city in a Honda Accord.

“And also, a gate man in Bichi Local Government Area was arrested with 87 kilograms of the same exhibit

He noted that his personnel follow the suspects from far away, until when they entered NDLEA’s Kano command territory then they arrest them.

Abdul further explained that in the month of October, the command has intercepted 1,340.6 kilograms of exhibits.

Some of the exhibits he said were intercepted including 1,137.6 Cannabis Savita and 203.1 Psychotropic substance.

He said that further investigation is ongoing for the possible prosecution of the suspects.

The commander said that most of their seizures were recorded during a special operations by the command’s Joint Task Force.

“In the month of of October under review, we secured the conviction of 15 drug traffickers, six regular clients were admitted.

“Also, four clients were counselled and rehabilitated, while 126 drug users were referred for brief intervention (counseling).
