Vice Chancellor, Maitama sule University Kano, professor Mukhtar Atiku kurawa says the university is working towards ensuring the Abdullahi Wase General hospital fulfill requirements of being the university’s teaching hospital.

He stated this when he led management team of the university on a familiarization tour to the hospital and college of health science in magwa

Professor Mukhtar Atiku kurawa maintained that sequel to accreditation visit made by the National Universities Commission and the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, alot of recommendations were made by the council towards full accreditation.

“Among the requirements slated by the councils is to build a student hostels, and block of offices in the teaching Hospital. We are here to asses the availability of land and advice government for the needed infrastructure”

Earlier, the chief medical Director, Abdullahi Wase General Hospital, Dr Mustapha shuaibu Hikima said the hospital had all the needed facilities and equipments of a teaching Hospital.

He solicited support of the vice Chancellor in fine tuning modalities towards actualizing the take off of the teaching Hospital.
