Kano state commissioner for Education Alhaji Mohammad sanusi kiru

Kano state governmen says it will introduce Radical Reforms in the operations of private schools soon.

The commissioner for Education Alhaji Mohammad sanusi kiru stated this while briefing journalists in Kano.

He said recent decision taken by some faction of the Association of private school owners of not reducing twenty five percent, third term school fees in the state was not a welcome Development.

Alhaji Mohammad sanusi kiru explained that majority of members of the Association have already agreed with the negotiation, saying it was in the interest of the general populace.

He noted that reforms would soon be initiated towards checkmetting excess of private schools operations especially the trend of forcing parents to buy uniforms and books from the schools, which was regarded as a form of exploitation.

The commissioner maintained that a taskforce commitee had been inaugurated by the ministry to monitor schools that refuse to comply with the agreement .

Mohammad sanusi kiru appealed to private school owners to ensure compliance with government policies aim at uplifting standard of education in the state.
