Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Minister of FCT, Alhaji Mohammad Musa Bello have arrived Kaduna State to meet with Governors and Traditional rulers of the northern region.

The meeting is expected to deliberate on various issues especially as it affects peace, security and other developmental issues

Senate President Ahmad Lawal, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar, Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu Abubakar are also at the meeting.

The meeting commenced behind closed doors with Governors of Gombe, Nasarawa, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kaduna, Zamfara, Niger and Deputy Governors of Katsina, Kogi among others.

Chairman Council of Chiefs of each state of the Northern region and Some members of the Senate and House of representatives are also present.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu is expected to brief the meeting on efforts to contain the current security challenges and issues arising from the endsars protest in the north and the country in general.
