Aminu Ado Bayero one of the Sons of late Emir Ado Bayero has been crowned the 15th Emir of Kano.
The new emir and Sanusi contested for emirship in 2014.
The announcement was made by the secretary to the state government few hours after the removal of Muhammadu Sanusi ii.
Until his appointment as emir of Kano, Bayero was the emir of Bichi, one of the four newly created emirates.
The appointment of the new emir takes immediate effect according to the SSG.
The Kano state government on Monday dethroned the Emir over what it described as disrespect to instructions from Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State and other lawful authorities.
