Last Flight Of Jigawa Intending Pilgrims Depart For Saudi

In continuation of the airlift of intending pilgrims in the country, the second batch and last flight of Jigawa state  pilgrims have been airlifted from Dutse International Airport to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday morning.

Radio Nigeria reports that the screening exercise of the pilgrims was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner both at the hajj camp and Dutse Airport. 

In an interview shortly before their departure with the Director Admin and Finance who is also Acting Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Mustapha Umar Babura said 131 intending pilgrims departed to the holy land.

He said the pilgrims were officials of the board, some health personnels, and other state governments delegations.

Alhaji Mustapha Umar Babura said the state Governor, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar was also among the pilgrims to perform the 2022 Hajj exercise.

Also speaking, the Director Operations of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo pointed out that, the remaining Jigawa male 50 intending pilgrims were scheduled to depart from Aminu Kano International Airport to Saudi Arabia.

He said the flight is also expected to depart Kano International Airport to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Labbo urged the state pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and the country in general while at the holy land.

He also called on them to respect the laid down rules and regulations of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia while performing the 2022 hajj exercise.
