Jigawa To Promote Education Via Digital Teaching, Learning

Jigawa State Government has inaugurated a Nigeria learning passport committee in the state.

Inaugurating the committee, the state Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Dr Lawan Yunusa Danzomo said the program initiated by the federal government in collaboration with UNICEF was aimed at supporting digital teaching and learning to improve access to quality education via the internet in the country.

Danzomo, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Hajiya Safiya Muhammad, explained that the approach was meant for both teachers and students to access global content in numerous subjects for basic and post-basic education.

He called on the committee members to use their experience to come up with technical issues that would boost academic activities in public schools.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to ensure qualitative education in public schools for the betterment of the younger generation.
