KDSG Directs Public Schools To Migrate To 4-day Working Week

Kaduna State Government says the resumption date for the 2nd term of the 2021/2022 academic session as earlier slated for Monday, January 10th, 2022 remains unchanged.

A statement by the state Commissioner for Education, Hajiya Halima Lawal explains that, all Principals and Head Teachers are expected to receive boarding students on Sunday 9th of January 2022 and day students on Monday, 10th of January 2022 respectively.

The statement notes that, all public schools are to migrate to the 4-day working week while the 2021/2022 academic calendar would be adjusted to ensure coverage of the curriculum for the academic session.

According to the Statement, the Ministry of education advised parents, guardians and students to comply with public health guidelines by adopting all protective measure against COVID-19.

It says administrators and proprietors of public and private schools and other learning centres, including Islamiyya and Madrasas, are encouraged to sustain school-based security committees set up last term and to continue ensuring safety of students in schools.

“The Safe School Learning Initiatives should be adhered to as directed by the Federal Ministry of Education.
