Kano Spends N800m In Renovating Schools – Commissioner

Kano state Government says it has spent the sum of over 800 million Naira in the renovation of dilapidated Structures in government Schools In 2021.

The Commissioner for Education Alhaji Mohammad Sunusi Kiru stated this while briefing newsmen on the Activities of the Ministry.

He said the Administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was according priority to the educational sector.

Muhammad Sanusi kiru noted that the free and compulsory education policy embarked in the state was yielding positive results, stressing that the number of pupils enrolled in basic education had drastically increased.

The Commissioner noted that the present administration in Kano had established new Information technology for girls at Na’isa and modern Tsangaya School at Kanwa village in Madobi local government Area.

” in this year’s approved budget 26% of the total budget was accorded to the educational sector and this is a clear demonstration of the Commitment of his excellencies commitment to improving the Sector”

Mohammad Sanusi Kira explained that Kano state had over 1300 secondary schools and over seven thousand primary schools, stressing that the government was working in the aspect of training and retraining of teachers and other staff of the ministry geared towards ensuring that the stated goals were being Achieved.

He Appealed to parents and guardians to reciprocate government gestures by ensuring that their children are always punctual in schools, to achieve the set objectives.
