The Presidency has reassured Nigerians that efforts to ensure the return of the missing students of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, are still on.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, says the issue of the students remains constantly on the mind of government just as it is on the minds of their parents.

The statement says hope on their release must not be given up as efforts to secure their release through various channels and activities of the security and intelligence agencies remain on course.

It explains that the recent decisive push by the military against the terrorists gives hope that a breakthrough is possible and could happen any time soon.

The Presidency asks for support, understanding and prayers for the military as they discharge their historic mandate to quickly finish off the insurgence war and free all citizens held hostage.
