Kaduna state government has called on employers in public and private sectors to receive corps members with warmth and mentor them appropriately for best service delivery and economical development.

Governor Uba Sani made this appeal at the closing ceremony of the 2026 batch ‘B’ stream two orientation course of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), held at the temporary orientation camp in Kaduna.

The governor, who was represented by Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister Glory Ibrahim also implored corps members to respect the culture and traditions of their host communities while making positive contributions through the Community Development Service (CDS) platform.

He reaffirmed that his commitment to corps safety and security remains his administration’s top priority.

He added that his administration would work closely with security agencies to ensure protection of corps members throughout the service year.

While addressing corps members to accept their posting in good faith, the governor further encouraged them to actively participate in the post-camp Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme that would empower them become employers of labour and not just job seekers during and after the service year.

State coordinator of the scheme, Mrs Efeke Murna Dadaza appreciated the Kaduna state government and relevant stakeholders for their unwavering support towards corp welfare and security.

She admonished them to make the service year a productive one and be security conscious especially at night and during transits.

Mrs. Dadaza furthered solicited for improved services and speedy return to a more befitting permanent orientation camp.

Corps members have been posted to their various places of primary assignment to continue the mandatory service to the nation.
