Jigawa State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government has commended the Auyo Local Government Council for implementing most of the recommendations made during its 2025 oversight visit.
The Chairman of the Committee and member representing Gwiwa Constituency, Alhaji Aminu Zakari, gave the commendation while receiving reports from committee members on administrative, financial and capital projects at the conclusion of the committee’s 2026 oversight visit to the Auyo Local Government Secretariat.
He expressed satisfaction with the maintenance of project file as a clear sign of proper documentation of capital expenditures of the local council.
Alhaji Aminu Zakari therefore urged the council chairman and the management staff to maintain the tempo which strengthen the administrative and financial dealings of the local council.
Responding, the Chairman of Auyo Local Government Council Malam Bilyaminu Ahmad Adamu Kafur, reiterated his commitment towards an open door policy.
Bilyaminu called on political office holders and the management staff to present good advise to him that will strengthen the development process of the area.
He urged councillors to go into the nooks and crannies of their respective wards and brought areas of social amenities to be addressed by the local council.
The Chairman also commended the Jigawa State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government for its support and guidance.
