Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has convened a high-level security meeting with heads of security agencies and other key stakeholders to strengthen measures aimed at protecting lives and property across the state.

The Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, said the meeting was held at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi as part of the administration’s efforts to reinforce security across all 21 local government areas.

He said participants included representatives of the military, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), vigilante groups, officials of the Ministry of Internal Security, chairmen of the 21 local government areas and members of the State Executive Council.

According to Sarki, the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration among security agencies through improved intelligence sharing and coordinated operational strategies to address security challenges across the state.

He said the initiative reflects Governor Idris’ proactive approach to maintaining peace and public safety by regularly reviewing the state’s security situation, identifying emerging threats and assessing ongoing security operations.

The Special Adviser added that the governor remains committed to implementing effective measures that will sustain peace, stability and the protection of lives and property throughout Kebbi State.
