Kaduna State Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister Gloria Ibrahim has urged corps employers to take corps welfare and security as top priority.
The commissioner made the remark in a goodwill message at the 2026 Edition of the NYSC Corps Employer’s Workshop held simultaneously in the 36 states of the federation including the Federal Capital.
Barrister Gloria Ibrahim, who was represented by Mrs Lami Usman, Ministry of Youth Development encouraged corps employers to take advantage of the workshop to share experiences and proffer solutions to challenges facing corps members.

Speaking on ensuring corps welfare, Chairman Kaduna South Local government, Honourable Rayya Hussein said adequate accommodation, proper medical care and monthly stipend are part of corps employers’ duties in motivating corps members to thrive efficiently during service year.

Also, State coordinator of the scheme, Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza appealed to corps employers to continue to uphold the rules guiding the scheme by ensuring proper supervision of corps members throughout their service year.

Other dignitaries at the workshop are the Chairman, Kaduna North, Honourable Gambo Mohammed, GOC 1Div Nigeria Army Lieutenant Colonel W. J. Emmanuel and NYSC North West Area Office, Mrs. Mercy Bamai Dawuda among others.
The theme of this year’s workshop is “Fine-tuning Stakeholders’ Collaboration Collaboration to Enhance Corps Members Welfare and Workplace Experience”.
