The Petroleum Technology Development Fund-PTDF, says it is exploring additional areas of collaboration beyond its traditional intervention programmes and scholarship schemes.

 

Executive Secretary of the Agency, Prof. Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu stated this when he received a delegation from the Airforce Institute of Technology-AFIT at his office in Abuja.

Prof. Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, who restated PTDF’s unwavering commitment to human capital development and capacity building, assured of continuos collaboration with the AFIT in pursuit of shared objectives.

 

He noted that PTDF was particularly interested in leveraging strategic partnerships to support key initiatives, with the aim of safeguarding the fund’s long-term corporate interests, while creating sustainable platforms for excellence in petroleum and energy education.

 

Earlier, leader of the delegation and Commandant of AFIT, Air Vice Marshal Adeniran Ademuwagun highlighted the long-standing and productive relationship between the PTDF and AFIT, particularly in the area of capacity development.

He referenced the existing Memorandum of Understanding between both institutions and expressed commitment to renewing and strengthening the partnership for greater mutual benefit.

 

The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing research, innovation and capacity development in support of Nigeria’s strategic human capital and technological advancement goals.
