Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board says it has concluded all arrangements for the airlift of the state’s intending pilgrims from Saudi Arabia back to Nigeria.
The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, stated this in an interview with a Radio Nigeria correspondent in Makkah.
He said, the first batch of the pilgrims will be airlifted through Umza Air from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi International Airport Dutse on 6th June 2026.
According to him, the second flight is also expected to take-off on 7th June including the state Amirul Hajj, some centre officers, medical personnel and some officials of the board.
He said the board had recorded tremendous success in educating and enlightened the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
Labbo, commended Governor Umar Namadi, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON as well as the state pilgrims for the support and cooperation given to the board during this year’s hajj operations.
