A new political support group, known as the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Grassroots Connect has emerged, with a renewed vigour to mobilise massive grassroots support across the country for his re-election.
National Co’ordinator of the Group, Mr Tajudeen Salako, and Former Chairman of Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun state said formation of the Group was driven by the need to sustain support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking at the unveiling of the platform in Abuja, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President Mr Tajuden Salako described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a courageous and visionary leader whose administration has repositioned Nigeria through bold economic reforms, infrastructure renewal and security improvements.
According to him, the Tinubu led administration has stabilised the economy, empowered vulnerable communities and strengthened unity across the country, stressing that “President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has transformed Nigeria through various economic reforms, infrastructure revival as well as the improvement in security architecture in Nigeria.
“His administration has stabilised the economy, empowered vulnerable communities, including over 350 groups nationwide, in addition to fostering unity across divides,” he said.
Salako however explained that the issue of accountability in governance of present administration of President Tinubu is topnotch, while creating opportunities for youths and other critical sectors of society, stressing that they have witnessed tangible results, including reduction in inflation, youth empowerment programmes and a clear vision for prosperity that surpasses past efforts.
The convener said the group would begin nationwide mobilisation to galvanise support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition, saying that Nigerians must unite behind the President for continued growth and prosperity and appreciated members and supporters of the group for their commitment, while assuring that strategic programmes and mobilisation plans would soon be unveiled.
Also unveiled as part of the group’s leadership are Mrs Wandoo Evelyn Tseayo as National Women Leader and Comrade Olawale Olumoroti the National Youth Leader among others.
