Kano State Agency for Mass Education  has pledged to strengthen collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO in advancing shared educational goals.

 

 

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Binta Abubakar made the commitment while receiving a delegation from UNESCO at her office in Kano.

 

 

She highlighted key programmes of the agency, including vocational training and various educational and enlightenment initiatives aimed at improving literacy and enhancing skill development across the state.

 

 

According to her, the agency remains committed to expanding access to education and empowering residents through practical knowledge and capacity-building programmes.

 

 

Speaking during the visit, the UNESCO Team Leader, Jean Paul Ngome, commended the agency for its ongoing efforts in promoting education.

 

 

He explained that the purpose of the delegation’s visit was to gain a better understanding of the agency’s activities and explore areas where UNESCO could provide additional support to further strengthen the education sector in Kano State.

 

 

Ngome also stressed the importance of unity and collaboration among stakeholders, urging them to work together towards achieving sustainable educational development.

 

 

Earlier, UNESCO’s Head of Education Sector, Oladeji Adeyemi, applauded the management of the agency for its dedication to improving educational outcomes.

 

 

He thanked the agency for its consistent efforts in empowering the people of Kano through education and skill acquisition initiatives.
