The Kwara State Fire Service has recovered the lifeless body of two young men who drowned in a quarry lake at Opete , in Asa Local Government Area of the state.

 

In a statement , the Head of Media Unit of the service, Hassan Adekunle ,says upon arrival, firefighters conducted a recovery operation and successfully retrieved the bodies of the victims, identified as Fatai Abdulraman (26 years) and Muhammed Awal (27 years).

 

According to it , the recovered bodies were subsequently handed over to Mallam Abdulfatahi for necessary arrangements.

 

Meanwhile,  the Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Alabi Muhammed, advised the public to avoid swimming or engaging in activities in quarry lakes and other unsafe water locations.

 

He urged communities to restrict access to such sites and report emergencies promptly to prevent loss of lives.
