NNPC Limited has announced the successful restoration of the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) following an explosion that disrupted operations earlier this month in Warri, Delta State.

In a statement signed by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Limited, Andy Odeh, the company said the pipeline has been fully repaired, pressure-tested, and safely recommissioned after the incident of December 10, 2025.

According to the statement, NNPC Limited immediately activated its emergency response plan after the explosion, deploying coordinated containment and repair measures to address the damaged section of the pipeline.

The company said the successful restoration was achieved through the support of host communities, regulatory guidance, the vigilance of security agencies, and the dedication of its partners and staff.

NNPC Limited described the development as a demonstration of its resilience and commitment to ensuring energy security, adding that operations were restored in record time while adhering to the highest safety and environmental standards.

It reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the environment, safeguarding host communities, and maintaining the integrity and reliability of its assets.

The company also thanked stakeholders for their cooperation and trust as it continues to support Nigeria’s energy needs.
