Women in Kirikasamma Local Government Area of Jigawa State have been advised to present their children for immunization against poliomyelitis, measles, rubella, and other preventable diseases.

The Wife of the Council Chairman, Hajiya Fatima Maji Marma, gave the advice during the official flag-off of the measles and routine immunization campaign held at the palace of the Village Head of Marma.

She reaffirmed the local council determination to providing needed support for the successful conduct of the immunization exercise.

Hajia Fatima also commended the Jigawa State government for introducing health insurance to vulnerable group at wards level in the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.

In his remarks, the Manager of the Primary Health Care Development Agency of the local government, Kabiru Musa Jahun expressed satisfaction with the large turnout of nursing mothers that brought their babies for immunization.

Also speaking, the Village Head of Marma, Alhaji Haruna Adamu, expressed appreciation on the dedication of Hajia Fatima Marma.
