The Chief of Defence Staff CDS,General Christopher Musa has attributed the growing insecurity to a failing family system.

He stated this at the closing ceremony of this year’s Exercise Haske Biyu held at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji in Kaduna State.

General Christopher Musa who described family as the bedrock of the society noted that security of the nation is not solely the responsibility of security agencies but begins with the foundation of strong families and cohesive communities.

He pointed out that family unions are very critical to the success and security of the country.

The Defence Chief expressed delight that Exercise Haske Biyu continues to serve as a critical platform for enhancing the interoperability among stakeholders in Nigeria’s security architecture and for fostering strategic synergy with ministries, departments and agencies.

He charged the participants to translate what they have learnt into practical, solution-driven action in the collective quest for national peace and stability.

General Musa therefore congratulated the participants for their commitment, focus and resilience throughout the training period.

Earlier in an address, Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Alhaji explained that the Exercise is a unique and comprehensive effort aimed at building a resilient and sustainable platform for the country to dissect and find solutions to national contingencies.

He described the family union as the foundation where discipline, morality and patriotism are nurtured for national development.

Air Vice Marshal Alhaji disclosed that next year’s edition of the Exercise would consolidate on the achievements of Exercise haske biyu 2025, and would bring on board, the Executive, Legislature and Judicial arms of Government, with a view to building resilient synergy and to enhance national security.

The three week programme featured six hundred and eleven participants, including three hundred and ninety-five senior course forty-seven students, drawn from fourteen allied countries, as well as two hundred and fifteen external participants from various security and para-military agencies and selected MDAs.

The theme for this year’s Exercise Haske biyu is : “Family And National Security”

Before his departure, General Christopher Musa commissioned the remodeled staff duties wing at the Jaji Military Cantonment.
